America’s ports and harbors demand an new level of
protection, only the Topcat’s Cobra can provide.
Top Cat’s Line of Cobra Boats
are the most versatile patrol vessels presently offered to the
Military, Coast Guard, Law Enforcement and Security community.
For that state of the art
interdiction and patrol craft, you will not find a faster, more
responsive, fuel-efficient vessel. What the maritime industry has
offered the security community thus far have been patrol boats with
much greater horsepower but in actuality are just more of the same
old thing. Putting more horsepower behind 20 and 30 year old designs
doesn't make them better, maybe faster but much harder on the crew
and equipment since they were originated from hull designs that
weren't or didn't have to exceed speeds of 35 mph..
The Post 9-11 world we live in
and have to protect relies on speed, stealth and new emerging
technologies. Why would any Agency on the Federal, State or local
levels entrusted with the public's safety purchase these inferior
craft, the answer is "We" like the crews and coxswains in the CG or
Special forces are still asking themselves t
hat very question! How
can we give the "Good Guys" equipment slower and inferior to that of
what is sold on the open market to anyone that has the money to buy
one. If the general public can purchase a cabin cruiser that can
reach 45 knots carrying large payload how can it possibly be stopped
or intercepted by a patrol vessel that reaches speeds of 35 to 40
knots in virtually flat or calm waters?
Boats that are meant to go fast
have to be built that way having the credentials or track record to
go along with it. Construction, high speed design, crew safety and
well mannered handling traits have to be designed into the vessel at
it's inception, it can't be added onto or be an after thought.
The Cobra vessels have been
tested like no other boat on the water today
The Cobra construction process
adheres to the strictest quality standards producing a state of the
art boat that is virtually unsinkable using Kevlar composites in a
cost effective manner.
TCMS’s unique patented Kevlar
Catamaran hull creates a lift, enabling effective handling in mild,
moderate and rough water conditions; diminishing impact and crew
injuries while softening impact to onboard equipment as well. This
high - speed dense cushion of air effectively negates the impact the
crew and equipment normally experience with the current fleet of
RHIB ‘s exactly like the Zodiac's and Safeboats used by the CG on a
massive scale. and Vee-Hulls allowing crews to stay on station much
longer comfortably and efficiently as the Cobra’s burn more than 30
percent less fuel which allows for longer periods on the water and
less at the fueling dock.
Cobras are lightweight and
easily transported while having much higher gunwales keeping all
aboard much drier without the constant impact and sea spray of the
Safeboats.
TCMS has conducted numerous
Coast Guard, Police, FBI, and Special Forces demonstrations
including extensive research and development; the results determined
the number #1 concern is the inability to stay on patrol for
extended periods of time due crew injury and general discomfort.
Manned or Unmanned vessels
provide an uncompromising level of protection for ports and harbors.
Custom configurations are our specialty. Cobras offer a platform to
serve your exact requirements. They are easily adaptable to
particular missions, electronics and equipment.
Cobras are known for their
precise handling traits. Unlike RHIB’s there is no bounce allowing
for stable and accurate patrol and reaction.
They will turn level or on a
dime at high rates of speed maintaining line of sight and target
allowing the driver to always have a clear view.
The Cobra is state of the art
but provides a user friendly platform. General boating experience
is required to handle the simplicity of the Cobra. There are no
special skills required to operate one of our Cobras just the basic
understanding of boat handling.
